Wednesday

The storm that came through around 6:00 am this morning only woke the counselors!  We guess we have some heavy sleepers.....
Today's activities included sparring in the lodge (check out the video of the Black Belts sparring with the White and Yellow Belts on Chris Miller's Facebook page.  Search for Cordova Taekwondo on Facebook to find Chris Miller if you aren't already friends.) 
This afternoon included our Scavnger Hunt, which took our 4 teams around the park to solve tasks, answer trivia, solve puzzles, etc. (just the the Amazing Race, but without a national television audience.) 

Tonight was the Board Breaking Tournament!  It was an exciting, perfect activity for a rainy night in Wall Doxey!

Tuesday at TKD Camp

Our day started off very well today with a rousing breakfast full of happy campers!  We followed breakfast with a class on taekwondo patterns and the Zombie Game (just ask your kids).  This afternoon included board breaking, kickball, and Steal the Bacon.  We are all tired after a long day in the sun, but we can't wait for tomorrow!  We are working on posting videos so check back soon!

Day One

We have had a wonderful start to the week.  We had a bonfire last night and enjoyed telling camp stories and eating s'mores.  The kids were obviously excited to be here because it took them a while (a LONG while for some) to fall asleep.  We had such a busy day today that we didn't have that problem tonight. :)  We spent the day working out, sparring, going to sessions, playing dodge ball and we ended with game night.  There are so many fun things on the schedule for the rest of the week and we will be posting pictures when we can.  Here are a few from today.

Final Countdown to Summer Camp 2010!

The counselors are really looking forward to camp next week and may be more excited than the kids are.  We have been working really hard to plan a fun camp with a lot of new activities, but don't worry, we kept all of the old favorites! :)  Don't forget drop-off is this Sunday at 4:00.  We'll see you then!
